In the area of the sub-Andean mountain ranges the climate is hot and humid; presenting a tropical climate. On the contrary, in the broad region of the plateau of the puna the climate is extremely cold and with little rainfall in most of the year, characterized by its high plains and plateaus and the enormous temperature variations between the maximums in summer and the minimums in winter, up to 50 ° C of difference. Therefore, Jujuy is one of the provinces with the greatest climatic diversity in Argentina, since it has diverse ecosystems (Yungas, Quebrada, Altiplano and valleys).
