The province integrates the geographical area known as the Chaqueña Region. It has a uniformity of relief with a gentle northwest-southeast slope, rivers and streams although sometimes wandering and forming estuaries also follow the northwest-southeast direction; the almost exclusive biome is that of the Chaco forest.
