Une ville (city en anglais) est une classification des municipalités utilisée dans la province canadienne de la Colombie-Britannique. Le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil de la Colombie-Britannique peut incorporer une communauté en tant que ville par lettres patentes, sous la recommandation du ministre des Communautés, des Sports et du Développement culturel, si sa population est supérieure à 5 000 habitants et si le résultat d’un vote impliquant les résidents concernés était supérieur plus de 50 % ont voté en faveur de l’incorporation proposée.
La Colombie-Britannique compte 52 villes qui avaient une population cumulée de 3 327 824 et une population moyenne de 63 997 au recensement de 2016. Les villes les plus grandes et les plus petites de la Colombie-Britannique sont Vancouver et Greenwood avec des populations de 631 486 et 665 respectivement. La plus grande ville par superficie est Abbotsford, qui s’étend sur 375,55 km², tandis que la plus petite est Duncan, avec 2,07 km².
La première communauté à s’incorporer en tant que ville a été New Westminster le 16 juillet 1860, tandis que la plus récente ville de la province est Mission, qui a été renommée d’une municipalité de district à une ville le 29 mars 2021.
