Map of Córdoba with its neighborhoods, Argentina
Map of the City of Córdoba, with its main neighborhoods, Argentina.
Cordoba is subdivided into more than 400 neighborhoods, some of them as large as Alberdi, but mostly few blocks. The best known are: Alta Córdoba, Alberdi, Alto Alberdi, Argüello, Centro, Cerro de las Rosas, Cofico, General Paz, Güemes, Jardín, Nueva Córdoba, San Vicente and Villa Libertador. The countries, also known as closed or private neighborhoods, are located mainly in the northwest area, because of their number, changes of denomination and scarce surface, it is very difficult, even for the inhabitants of the city, to easily identify many of the neighborhoods .
Between 2001 and 2010, 231 new urbanizations were created, representing 48,023 new properties and 17.3 million built square meters. These 231 urbanizations are composed of 159 neighborhoods, 35 closed or private neighborhoods, 26 building complexes and 11 neighborhoods, many of them built by the provincial government to eradicate shantytowns. These new urbanizations are mainly distributed in the south and northwest.
