The Falkland Islands show unusually clearly in this true-color Terra MODIS image acquired September 25, 2002. The two main islands, West Falkland and East Falkland, are east of the southernmost Argentinean coast in the Southern Atlantic Ocean. The narrow strip of water between the two islands is the Falkland Sound.
