Curitiba Public Transportation Network
Integrated Transportation Network (Rede Integrada de Transporte RIT) is a bus-based public transportation system built on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) concept, created in the capital of the state of Paraná in the 1970s. The RIT has 81 kilometers of bus corridors, usually operated by bi-articulated cars that connect the integrated terminals in various parts of the city and carry around 2 million passengers daily. The system is operated by URBS (Urbanização de Curitiba S/A) and the COMEC (Coordenação da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba).
