Cundinamarca Department 2003

Cundinamarca departments of the Republic of Colombia. Its capital is Bogota, it is located in the center of the country, in the Andean region, limits to the North with Boyacá, to the South with Meta and Huila, to the East with Casanare and to the west with Tolima and Caldas. It has an area of 23,960 Km2.

The department of Cundinamarca has 2 national parks, both corresponding to the Andean ecosystem of páramo. Chingaza National Park Sumapaz National Natural Park

Altogether there are 15 provinces in which the 117 municipalities are grouped, including the Capital District of Bogota.

  1. Almeidas: Chocontá, Machetá, Manta, Sesquilé, Suesca, Tibirita, Villapinzón.
  2. Alto Magdalena: Agua de Dios, Girardot, Guataquí, Jerusalén, Nariño, Nilo, Ricaurte, Tocaima.
  3. Bajo Magdalena: Caparrapí, Guaduas, Puerto Salgar.
  4. Gualivá: Albán, La Peña, La Vega, Nimaima, Nocaima, Quebradanegra, San Francisco, Sasaima, Supatá, Útica, Vergara, Villeta.
  5. Guavio: Gachalá, Gachetá, Gama, Guasca, Guatavita, Junín, La Calera, Ubalá.
  6. Magdalena Centro: Beltrán, Bituima, Chaguaní, Guayabal de Síquima, Pulí, San Juan de Rioseco, Vianí.
  7. Medina: Paratebueno.
  8. Oriente: Cáqueza, Chipaque, Choachí, Fómeque, Fosca, Guayabetal, Gutiérrez, Quetame, Ubaque, Une.
  9. Rionegro: El Peñón, La Palma, Pacho, Paime, San Cayetano, Topaipí, Villagómez, Yacopí.
  10. Sabana Centro: Cajicá, Chía, Cogua, Cota, Gachancipá, Nemocón, Sopó, Tabio, Tenjo, Tocancipá, Zipaquirá.
  11. Sabana Occidente: Bojacá, El Rosal, Facatativá, Funza, Madrid, Mosquera, Subachoque, Zipacón.
  12. Soacha: Sibaté, Soacha.
  13. Sumapaz: Arbeláez, Cabrera, Fusagasugá, Granada, Pandi, Pasca, San Bernardo, Silvania, Tibacuy, Venecia.
