Situ\u00e9 dans l&#8217;ouest de l&#8217;Himalaya, il fait partie des treize \u00c9tats montagneux et se caract\u00e9rise par un paysage extr\u00eame avec plusieurs sommets et de vastes r\u00e9seaux fluviaux.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Superficie : 55 673 km\u00b2<\/li>\n<li>Population en 2011 : 6 864 602 hab.<\/li>\n<li>Capitale : Shimla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le Himachal Pradesh est l&#8217;\u00c9tat le plus septentrional de l&#8217;Inde et partage des fronti\u00e8res avec les territoires de l&#8217;Union du Jammu-et-Cachemire et du Ladakh au nord, et avec les \u00c9tats du Pendjab \u00e0 l&#8217;ouest, de l&#8217;Haryana au sud-ouest, de l&#8217;Uttarakhand au sud-est et une fronti\u00e8re tr\u00e8s \u00e9troite avec l&#8217;Uttar Pradesh au sud. L&#8217;\u00c9tat partage \u00e9galement une fronti\u00e8re internationale \u00e0 l&#8217;est avec la r\u00e9gion autonome du Tibet en Chine.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9gion essentiellement montagneuse qui constitue l&#8217;actuel Himachal Pradesh est habit\u00e9e depuis la pr\u00e9histoire et a connu de multiples vagues de migrations humaines en provenance d&#8217;autres r\u00e9gions. Apr\u00e8s l&#8217;ind\u00e9pendance, de nombreux territoires montagneux furent organis\u00e9s en province du Commissaire en chef du Himachal Pradesh, qui devint plus tard un territoire de l&#8217;Union. En 1966, les zones montagneuses de l&#8217;\u00c9tat voisin du Pendjab furent fusionn\u00e9es avec le Himachal et ce dernier obtint finalement le statut d&#8217;\u00c9tat \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re en 1971.<\/p>\n<p>Le Himachal Pradesh s&#8217;\u00e9tend sur des vall\u00e9es travers\u00e9es par de nombreuses rivi\u00e8res p\u00e9rennes. L&#8217;agriculture, l&#8217;horticulture, l&#8217;hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et le tourisme sont des \u00e9l\u00e9ments importants de l&#8217;\u00e9conomie de l&#8217;\u00c9tat.<\/p>\n<p>Cet \u00c9tat montagneux est presque universellement \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9, 99,5 % des m\u00e9nages ayant l&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en 2016. L&#8217;\u00c9tat a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9clar\u00e9 deuxi\u00e8me \u00c9tat indien sans d\u00e9f\u00e9cation \u00e0 l&#8217;air libre en 2016. Selon une enqu\u00eate de l&#8217;\u00e9tude CMS-India Corruption Study en 2017, le Himachal Pradesh est l&#8217;\u00c9tat le moins corrompu de l&#8217;Inde.<\/p>\n<p>Le Himachal Pradesh est divis\u00e9 en 12 districts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00c9tat du Himachal Pradesh.
