Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9organisation linguistique du Pendjab le 1<sup>er<\/sup> novembre 1966. Il occupe la 21<sup>e<\/sup> place en termes de superficie, avec moins de 1,4 % (44 212 km\u00b2) de la superficie de l&#8217;Inde. La capitale de l&#8217;\u00c9tat est Chandigarh, qu&#8217;il partage avec l&#8217;\u00c9tat voisin du Pendjab ; et la ville la plus peupl\u00e9e est Faridabad, une partie de la r\u00e9gion de la capitale nationale. La ville de Gurgaon est l&#8217;un des plus grands centres financiers et technologiques de l&#8217;Inde. Gurgaon est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l&#8217;un des principaux p\u00f4les informatiques et automobiles de l&#8217;Inde.<\/p>\n<p>Le Haryana se classe au 11<sup>e<\/sup> rang des \u00c9tats indiens en termes d&#8217;indice de d\u00e9veloppement humain. L&#8217;\u00e9conomie du Haryana est la 13<sup>e<\/sup> plus grande d&#8217;Inde, avec un produit int\u00e9rieur brut (PIB) de 7,65 billions de roupies (92 milliards de dollars am\u00e9ricains) et le 5<sup>e<\/sup> PIB par habitant le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 du pays, soit 240 000 roupies (2 900 dollars am\u00e9ricains).<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00c9tat est riche en histoire, monuments, patrimoine, flore, faune et tourisme, avec une \u00e9conomie bien d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e, des autoroutes nationales et des routes d&#8217;\u00c9tat. Il est bord\u00e9 par le Pendjab et l&#8217;Himachal Pradesh au nord, par le Rajasthan \u00e0 l&#8217;ouest et au sud, tandis que la rivi\u00e8re Yamuna forme sa fronti\u00e8re orientale avec l&#8217;Uttar Pradesh.
