C&#8217;est le septi\u00e8me plus grand \u00c9tat et le dixi\u00e8me plus peupl\u00e9 du pays. Le t\u00e9lougou, l&#8217;une des langues classiques de l&#8217;Inde, est la principale langue officielle et la langue la plus parl\u00e9e. Il poss\u00e8de le deuxi\u00e8me plus long littoral d&#8217;Inde avec environ 974 km.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Superficie : 162 970 km\u00b2<\/li>\n<li>Population en 2011 : 49 665 533 hab.<\/li>\n<li>Plus grande ville : Visakhapatnam<\/li>\n<li>Capitale : Amaravati<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les Gh\u00e2ts orientaux s\u00e9parent les plaines c\u00f4ti\u00e8res et les p\u00e9n\u00e9plaines. Les principaux fleuves sont Krishna, Godavari et Penna. L&#8217;\u00c9tat poss\u00e8de environ un tiers des r\u00e9serves de calcaire de l&#8217;Inde, ainsi que de vastes gisements de baryte et de granit.<\/p>\n<p>La population engag\u00e9e dans l&#8217;agriculture et les activit\u00e9s connexes est de 62,17 %. Le riz est la principale culture vivri\u00e8re et l&#8217;aliment de base de l&#8217;\u00c9tat. L&#8217;\u00c9tat contribue \u00e0 30 % de la production de poisson en Inde et d\u00e9tient une part de 35 % dans le total des exportations de fruits de mer de l&#8217;Inde.
