Son littoral s&#8217;\u00e9tend sur plus de 3 333 kilom\u00e8tres, soit le plus long du continent africain. On a d\u00e9crit la Somalie comme ayant approximativement la forme d&#8217;un \u00ab chiffre sept inclin\u00e9 \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l&#8217;extr\u00eame nord, les cha\u00eenes accident\u00e9es des monts Ogo, orient\u00e9es est-ouest, se situent \u00e0 des distances variables de la c\u00f4te du golfe d&#8217;Aden. Le climat y est chaud toute l&#8217;ann\u00e9e, avec des vents de mousson p\u00e9riodiques et des pr\u00e9cipitations irr\u00e9guli\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p>Il n\u2019y a pratiquement pas de pr\u00e9cipitations dans cet \u00c9tat c\u00f4tier de la Corne de l\u2019Afrique. Le cours d&#8217;eau le plus important est le Jubba avec ses affluents Shabelle et Uaso Nyiro. Avec environ 220 000 km\u00b2, leur bassin versant repr\u00e9sente un tiers de la superficie du pays. Tous les autres cours d&#8217;eau ne sont pas permanents.
