Le point culminant est le Monte Torin avec une altitude de 262 m\u00e8tres. Son relief est principalement constitu\u00e9 de plaines c\u00f4ti\u00e8res basses avec des mar\u00e9cages de mangroves guin\u00e9ennes s&#8217;\u00e9levant jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la mosa\u00efque for\u00eat-savane guin\u00e9enne \u00e0 l&#8217;est. Sa saison des pluies, semblable \u00e0 la mousson, alterne avec des p\u00e9riodes de vents d&#8217;harmattan chauds et secs soufflant du Sahara. L&#8217;archipel des Bijagos se trouve au large du continent.
