Il se situe entre les latitudes 4\u00b045&#8217;N et 11\u00b0N et les longitudes 1\u00b015&#8217;E et 3\u00b015&#8217;O. Le premier m\u00e9ridien passe par le Ghana, plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment par Tema. Le Ghana est g\u00e9ographiquement plus proche de l&#8217;intersection du premier m\u00e9ridien et de l&#8217;\u00e9quateur que tout autre pays, puisque ce point (0\u00b0, 0\u00b0) est situ\u00e9 dans l&#8217;oc\u00e9an Atlantique \u00e0 environ 614 km au large de la c\u00f4te sud-est du Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Les prairies m\u00e9lang\u00e9es aux arbustes et aux for\u00eats de la c\u00f4te sud dominent le Ghana, avec des for\u00eats s&#8217;\u00e9tendant vers le nord \u00e0 partir de la c\u00f4te sur 320 kilom\u00e8tres et vers l&#8217;est sur un maximum d&#8217;environ 270 kilom\u00e8tres avec des sites d&#8217;exploitation mini\u00e8re de min\u00e9raux industriels et de bois. Le Ghana abrite cinq \u00e9cor\u00e9gions terrestres : les for\u00eats de Guin\u00e9e orientale, la mosa\u00efque for\u00eat-savane guin\u00e9enne, la savane soudanienne occidentale, les mangroves d&#8217;Afrique centrale et les mangroves guin\u00e9ennes. Il a obtenu un score moyen de 4,53\/10 pour l\u2019indice d\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du paysage forestier 2018, le classant au 112<sup>e<\/sup> rang mondial sur 172 pays.<\/p>\n<p>La Volta Blanche et son affluent la Volta Noire coulent vers le sud \u00e0 travers le Ghana jusqu&#8217;au lac Volta, le troisi\u00e8me plus grand r\u00e9servoir au monde en volume et le plus grand en superficie, form\u00e9 par le barrage hydro\u00e9lectrique d&#8217;Akosombo, achev\u00e9 en 1965. La Volta s&#8217;\u00e9coule du lac Volta. dans le Golfe de Guin\u00e9e.
