L&#8217;autoroute principale, la M1, traverse le pays du nord au sud en suivant la vall\u00e9e du Vardar et fait partie de la route europ\u00e9enne 75 qui relie l&#8217;Europe du Nord \u00e0 la Gr\u00e8ce. Elle est connect\u00e9e \u00e0 Skopje aux autoroutes M3 et M4. La premi\u00e8re rejoint le Kosovo et la seconde descend au sud-ouest du pays et dessert Tetovo et Gostivar. Elle conna\u00eet des projets d&#8217;extensions vers Strouga et la fronti\u00e8re albanaise. A Koumanovo, la M1 sera connect\u00e9e en 2016 \u00e0 la Bulgarie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la future M22. D&#8217;autres projets sont \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9tude, comme la M5, qui reliera V\u00e9l\u00e8s, ville du centre du pays situ\u00e9e sur la M1, \u00e0 Deltchevo et \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re bulgare.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>14 410 km de routes au total (2021)<\/li>\n<li>335 km d&#8217;autoroutes (2021)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Autoroutes de Mac\u00e9doine du Nord<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La Mac\u00e9doine du Nord poss\u00e8de un r\u00e9seau autoroutier modeste mais qui conna\u00eet des programmes d&#8217;am\u00e9lioration et d&#8217;expansion. La M1, qui traverse le pays du nord au sud et relie la Serbie \u00e0 la Gr\u00e8ce, est un h\u00e9ritage de la p\u00e9riode socialiste yougoslave et il fait partie de la route europ\u00e9enne 75. A Skopje, cette premi\u00e8re autoroute rencontre un tron\u00e7on plus petit qui connecte Tetovo et Gostivar, villes de l&#8217;ouest du pays.
