Elle abrite des oiseaux tels que le turaco de Bannerman, unique \u00e0 cette r\u00e9gion. Il existe \u00e9galement de nombreux lacs de crat\u00e8re tels que le lac Oku, le lac Awing et le lac Nyos. La plus grande for\u00eat de montagne restante dans la r\u00e9gion du Nord-Ouest est la for\u00eat de Kilum-Ijim. Le Nigeria est bien repr\u00e9sent\u00e9, car il borde la r\u00e9gion au nord et au nord-ouest.<\/p>\n<p>La population autochtone comprend une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de groupes ethniques et linguistiques. Les principaux groupes ethniques sont d&#8217;origine Tikar : Tikari, Widikum, Fulani et Moghamo. En cons\u00e9quence, certaines parties de certains groupes ethniques se trouvent d\u00e9sormais dans diff\u00e9rentes divisions et r\u00e9gions, ce qui aurait conduit \u00e0 plusieurs conflits fonciers.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les r\u00e9gions, l&#8217;organisation sociale reconna\u00eet \u00e0 sa t\u00eate un chef, appel\u00e9 aussi Fon.
