Le Niger compte 11 langues officielles, le fran\u00e7ais \u00e9tant la langue officielle et le haoussa la langue la plus parl\u00e9e. Selon la fa\u00e7on dont elles sont compt\u00e9es, le Niger compte entre 8 et 20 langues autochtones, appartenant aux familles afro-asiatique, nilo-saharienne et nig\u00e9ro-congolaise. L’\u00e9cart vient du fait que plusieurs sont \u00e9troitement li\u00e9s, et peuvent \u00eatre regroup\u00e9s ou consid\u00e9r\u00e9s \u00e0 part.<\/p>\n

Langues officielles<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le fran\u00e7ais, h\u00e9rit\u00e9 de la p\u00e9riode coloniale, est la langue officielle. Il est parl\u00e9 principalement comme langue seconde par les personnes ayant re\u00e7u une \u00e9ducation (20% des Nig\u00e9riens sont alphab\u00e9tis\u00e9s en fran\u00e7ais, et m\u00eame 47% dans les villes, en croissance rapide \u00e0 mesure que l’alphab\u00e9tisation s’am\u00e9liore). Bien que les Nig\u00e9riens \u00e9duqu\u00e9s constituent encore un pourcentage relativement faible de la population, la langue fran\u00e7aise est la langue utilis\u00e9e par l’administration officielle (tribunaux, gouvernement, etc.), les m\u00e9dias et le monde des affaires.<\/p>\n

Le Niger compte dix langues nationales officielles, \u00e0 savoir l’arabe, le buduma, le peul, le gourmantch\u00e9, le haoussa, le kanouri, le zarma et le songha\u00ef, le touareg, le tassawaq et le toubou. Ces dix langues nationales, leurs familles linguistiques, le pourcentage approximatif de la population qui les parle, leurs r\u00e9gions d’origine approximatives et des informations suppl\u00e9mentaires sont les suivantes :<\/p>\n
