Son chef-lieu est Moundou. Elle co\u00efncide avec l&#8217;ancienne Pr\u00e9fecture du Logone-Occidental.<\/p>\n<p>Selon le recensement tchadien de 2009, la population totale de la r\u00e9gion \u00e9tait de 683 293.
