Le chef-lieu de la province est Mongo. La province est situ\u00e9e au centre-sud du pays.<\/p>\n<p>Selon le recensement tchadien de 2009, la population de la province \u00e9tait de 553 795 habitants. Les groupes ethnolinguistiques principaux sont les Hadjara\u00ef (66,18 % sont entre autres les kenga, dangaleat, Moukoulou ou Djonkor-guera, les moubi, migami, Bidio,dadjo,sokoro&#8230;) et les Arabes (21,11 %).<\/p>\n<p>La province borde la province de Batha au nord, la province de Sila et la province de Salamat \u00e0 l&#8217;est, la province du Moyen-Chari au sud, et la province de Chari-Baguirmi et la province de Hadjer-Lamis \u00e0 l&#8217;ouest. La province contient plusieurs zones montagneuses, telles que le massif de Kadam et le massif du Gu\u00e9ra, ce dernier \u00e9tant compos\u00e9 de granites diss\u00e9qu\u00e9s par de nombreux dykes de dol\u00e9rite.<\/p>\n<p>La province du Gu\u00e9ra re\u00e7oit annuellement 744 mm de pluie et comprend plusieurs zones de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation.
