Le district comprend de grandes parties de l&#8217;ancienne province de Cyangugu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>G\u00e9ographie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le district est frontalier avec le Burundi au sud et la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo \u00e0 l\u2019ouest.<\/p>\n<p>Le district se situe \u00e0 l&#8217;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 sud du lac Kivu, lequel se d\u00e9verse dans la rivi\u00e8re Rusizi qui donne son nom au district. Cyangugu est l\u2019un des trois principaux ports lacustres rwandais du lac Kivu (avec Kibuye et Gisenyi) et est contigu\u00eb \u00e0 la ville congolaise beaucoup plus grande de Bukavu. Le district comprend \u00e9galement la moiti\u00e9 ouest de la for\u00eat de Nyungwe, une destination touristique populaire, l&#8217;une des derni\u00e8res zones foresti\u00e8res du Rwanda et abritant des chimpanz\u00e9s et de nombreuses autres esp\u00e8ces de primates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secteurs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le district se compose de dix-huit secteurs (imirenge) : Bugarama, Butare, Bweyeye, Gikundamvura, Gashonga, Giheke, Gihundwe, Gitambi, Kamembe, Muganza, Mururu, Nkanka, Nkombo, Nkungu, Nyakabuye, Nyakarenzo, Nzahaha, Rwimbogo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carte du district de Rusizi, dans la Province de l&#8217;Ouest du Rwanda.
