La r\u00e9gion de Dikhil est surtout connue pour son paysage d\u00e9sertique. Il est \u00e9galement connu pour son climat, qui pr\u00e9sente des \u00e9t\u00e9s exceptionnellement chauds et des hivers doux. La r\u00e9gion est compos\u00e9e de trois r\u00e9gions g\u00e9ologiques: les montagnes, les plaines-vall\u00e9es et le d\u00e9sert qui se produisent en grandes bandes d\u2019ouest en est. En raison des diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions g\u00e9ologiques, il existe des climats et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes contrast\u00e9s. A cela s\u2019ajoutent trois autres localit\u00e9s d\u2019une certaine importance d\u2019un point de vue des effectifs de la population, \u00e0 savoir Bandara, Gourabous et Kontali.
