Historiquement, l&#8217;Inde a \u00e9t\u00e9 la plus grande \u00e9conomie du monde pendant la majeure partie des deux mill\u00e9naires du 1<sup>er<\/sup> au 19<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, contribuant \u00e0 25% de la production industrielle mondiale. La Chine a \u00e9t\u00e9 l&#8217;\u00e9conomie la plus grande et la plus avanc\u00e9e du monde pendant une grande partie de l&#8217;histoire enregistr\u00e9e et a partag\u00e9 le manteau avec l&#8217;Inde.
