Aujourd&#8217;hui, les diff\u00e9rentes populations et individus du continent sont pour la plupart des adeptes du christianisme, de l&#8217;islam et, dans une moindre mesure, de plusieurs religions traditionnelles africaines. Le christianisme monophysite, bien que plus ancien que l&#8217;islam, est confin\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00c9thiopie. A partir du XXe si\u00e8cle, le catholicisme et le protestantisme acqui\u00e8rent une importance croissante&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, l&#8217;islam et le christianisme se retrouvent en Afrique avec des syncr\u00e9tismes plus ou moins sectaires comme l&#8217;\u00c9glise kimbanguiste ou l&#8217;\u00c9glise chr\u00e9tienne c\u00e9leste, qui persistent et se reproduisent gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la force implicite des concepts des religions traditionnelles. Les religions traditionnelles africaines sont pr\u00e9sentes en Am\u00e9rique, notamment le vaudou en Ha\u00efti, la religion yoruba et les religions de l&#8217;ancien royaume du Congo dans les Cara\u00efbes et principalement au Br\u00e9sil. O. K. Onyioha (Nigeria),<\/li>\n<li>K\u00e9mitisme (ann\u00e9es 1970) ou netjerisme,<\/li>\n<li>Puissance spirituelle du verbe (vers 1980), autour de Bavua Ntinu Andr\u00e9 (1939-2013),<\/li>\n<li>Orthodoxie kh\u00e9mite (1988),<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9glise du Peuple Guanche (2001).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Certains rel\u00e8vent du nationalisme ethnique, du panafricanisme, ou de l&#8217;afrocentrisme (afrocentricit\u00e9 (en)).
