La commune est situ\u00e9e autour d&#8217;une oasis dans la r\u00e9gion de Touat du d\u00e9sert du Sahara. Adrar est une ville essentiellement agricole, caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par son syst\u00e8me d&#8217;irrigation traditionnel, le <em>Foggara<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Population : 64\u00a0781\u00a0hab. (2008)<\/li>\n<li>Superficie : 633\u00a0km<sup>2<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Densit\u00e9 : 102\u00a0hab.\/km<sup>2<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adrar se trouve sur la route nationale N6, qui m\u00e8ne au nord \u00e0 B\u00e9char et au sud \u00e0 Reggane et Timiaouine.<\/p>\n<p>Adrar dispose d&#8217;un a\u00e9roport situ\u00e9 \u00e0 11\u00a0km au sud-est de la ville. Des vols op\u00e9r\u00e9s par la compagnie Air Alg\u00e9rie relient Adrar aux grandes villes du nord de l&#8217;Alg\u00e9rie\u00a0: Alger et Oran, et \u00e0 quelques villes du sud alg\u00e9rien\u00a0: Ouargla et Bordj Badji Mokhtar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>G\u00e9ographie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adrar se trouve \u00e0 une altitude de 258 m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Une grande oasis se trouve au sud-ouest de la ville; cette oasis se situe dans la r\u00e9gion de Touat, un chapelet d&#8217;oasis allant de Bouda au nord \u00e0 Reggane au sud. Une vaste zone de dunes de sable, l&#8217;Erg Chech, s&#8217;\u00e9tend \u00e0 l&#8217;ouest, tandis qu&#8217;un grand plateau rocheux, le Tadema\u00eft, s&#8217;\u00e9tend \u00e0 l&#8217;est.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essai nucl\u00e9aire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adrar a \u00e9t\u00e9 le site de l&#8217;un des essais nucl\u00e9aires fran\u00e7ais de la s\u00e9rie In Ekker dans les ann\u00e9es 1960.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Localit\u00e9s de la commune<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Depuis le d\u00e9coupage administratif de 1984, la commune d&#8217;Adrar est constitu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir des localit\u00e9s suivantes\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adrar<\/li>\n<li>Adgha<\/li>\n<li>Ouguedim<\/li>\n<li>Barbaa<\/li>\n<li>Ouled Oungal<\/li>\n<li>Ouled Ouchen<\/li>\n<li>Ouled Ali<\/li>\n<li>Tililane<\/li>\n<li>Meraguen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adrar, est une commune de la wilaya homonyme, dont elle est le chef-lieu.
