La route a\u00e9rienne Londres &#8211; New York est la plus lucrative et la plus haut-profil au monde.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>L&#8217;a\u00e9roport international John-F.-Kennedy (John F. Kennedy International Airport) est situ\u00e9 dans le quartier de Jamaica dans le Queens. Il a ouvert en 1948 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 rebaptis\u00e9 en l&#8217;honneur du pr\u00e9sident John Fitzgerald Kennedy, assassin\u00e9 en 1963. Il dispose de quatre pistes, longues de 2 560 \u00e0 4 441 m\u00e8tres. En 2002, le trafic \u00e9tait de l&#8217;ordre de 29 900 000 passagers, contre environ 59,3 millions de passagers en 2017. L&#8217;a\u00e9roport JFK a subi de nombreuses r\u00e9novations de 1999 \u00e0 2001. En 2003, il a notamment inaugur\u00e9 le \u00ab Air Train \u00bb, un train a\u00e9rien direct pour Queens et prochainement pour Manhattan. La plupart des avions en provenance de l&#8217;Europe atterrissent \u00e0 JFK, qui a notamment accueilli les a\u00e9ronefs de type Concorde jusqu&#8217;en 2003. Aujourd&#8217;hui, avec un transit annuel de 35 millions de personnes l&#8217;a\u00e9roport JFK propose une multitude de transports pour se rendre \u00e0 Manhattan : l&#8217;airtrain, le taxi, le shuttle, le m\u00e9tro ou l&#8217;h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re.<\/li>\n<li>L&#8217;a\u00e9roport international Liberty (Newark Liberty International Airport) est situ\u00e9 dans la ville de Newark, dans le New Jersey. Ouvert en 1928, il est le plus ancien a\u00e9roport new-yorkais, et se situe \u00e0 15 milles de Manhattan (soit 26 km). Il a cependant \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment r\u00e9nov\u00e9, ce qui en fait l&#8217;un des a\u00e9roports les plus modernes de la c\u00f4te est. Il assure les liaisons int\u00e9rieures et internationales; en 2017, 43,2 millions de passagers ont transit\u00e9 par cet a\u00e9roport. Il est le seul des trois a\u00e9roports de l&#8217;agglom\u00e9ration \u00e0 ne pas \u00eatre situ\u00e9 dans la ville de New York.<\/li>\n<li>L&#8217;a\u00e9roport international LaGuardia (LaGuardia Airport) est situ\u00e9 dans le quartier de Flushing dans le Queens. Il a ouvert en 1939, et est surtout r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux vols int\u00e9rieurs am\u00e9ricains.
