Trois entit\u00e9s g\u00e8rent les parcs dans la ville de New York, chacune avec ses propres responsabilit\u00e9s :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>F\u00e9d\u00e9ral &#8211; US National Park Service (NPS) &#8211; \u00e0 la fois des espaces ouverts et des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s historiques<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9tat &#8211; Bureau des parcs, des loisirs et de la pr\u00e9servation historique de l&#8217;\u00c9tat de New York (NYSP)<\/li>\n<li>Municipal &#8211; D\u00e9partement des parcs et des loisirs de la ville de New York (DPR)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La ville dispose de 113 km\u00b2 de parc municipal et de 22 km de plages municipales publiques. Les principaux parcs municipaux comprennent Central Park, Prospect Park, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park et Forest Park. Le plus grand est le parc Pelham Bay, suivi de la ceinture de verdure de Staten Island et du parc Van Cortlandt. Il existe \u00e9galement de nombreux parcs plus petits mais historiquement importants \u00e0 New York, comme Battery Park, Bryant Park, Madison Square Park, Union Square Park et Washington Square Park.<\/p>\n<p>De plus, certains parcs, notamment Gramercy Park, sont d\u00e9tenus et g\u00e9r\u00e9s par des propri\u00e9taires priv\u00e9s.
