Les boroughs, au nombre de trente-deux, sont administr\u00e9s par des conseils de borough (London Borough Council), charg\u00e9s notamment de l&#8217;\u00e9ducation, des services sociaux, de la collecte des d\u00e9chets et de l&#8217;entretien des routes.<\/p>\n<p>La trente-troisi\u00e8me subdivision administrative, la Cit\u00e9 de Londres (City of London), centre originel de l&#8217;agglom\u00e9ration, poss\u00e8de pour des raisons historiques un conseil local ad hoc, la Corporation de la Cit\u00e9 de Londres (City of London Corporation), dot\u00e9 de pouvoirs plus \u00e9tendus que les conseils de borough.
