En 2014, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 class\u00e9 n\u00b0 1 parmi les attractions touristiques les plus visit\u00e9es au monde avec 91 250 000 visiteurs annuels. Le Grand Bazar d&#8217;Istanbul est souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l&#8217;un des premiers centres commerciaux du monde. Il se trouve en plein centre de la ville entre les mosqu\u00e9es Nuruosmaniye et Bayezid II.<\/p>\n<p>La partie la plus ancienne date de 1455 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite en bois sur ordre de Mehmed II, \u00e0 l&#8217;emplacement d&#8217;un ancien march\u00e9. Au xvie si\u00e8cle sous Soliman le Magnifique, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9rablement \u00e9largi. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9 et partiellement reconstruit, \u00e0 la suite d&#8217;un tremblement de terre en 1894.
