Le quartier porte le nom de l&#8217;\u00e9glise catholique maronite Saint-Michel, situ\u00e9e rue Pharoun.<\/p>\n<p>Le quartier se situe au nord et au sud de Charles Helou, l&#8217;autoroute maritime qui s\u00e9pare le quartier de la zone du port de Beyrouth, au nord du quartier de Geitaoui, \u00e0 l&#8217;est de Gemayz\u00e9 et \u00e0 l&#8217;ouest de l&#8217;autoroute Pierre Gemayel et de la rivi\u00e8re Beyrouth.
