Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd \u2013 Division Meadowbank. La mine d&#8217;or Meadowbank est une mine d&#8217;or \u00e0 ciel ouvert dont la dur\u00e9e de vie est estim\u00e9e de 2010 \u00e0 2020 et qui emploie 680 personnes.<\/p>\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me mine r\u00e9cemment ouverte en production est la mine Mary River Iron Ore exploit\u00e9e par Baffinland Iron Mines. Elle est situ\u00e9e pr\u00e8s de Pond Inlet sur l&#8217;\u00eele de North Baffin. Elle produit un minerai de fer direct de haute qualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La mine la plus r\u00e9cente \u00e0 ouvrir est Doris North ou la mine Hope Bay exploit\u00e9e pr\u00e8s de l&#8217;a\u00e9rodrome de Hope Bay par TMAC Resource Ltd. Aucune nouvelle exploitation mini\u00e8re ; ferm\u00e9.<\/li>\n<li>Doris North Gold Mine Newmont Mining environ 3 km de galeries souterraines\/d&#8217;exploitation mini\u00e8re, aucun broy\u00e9 ni trait\u00e9. Newmont a ferm\u00e9 la mine et l&#8217;a vendue \u00e0 TMAC Resources en 2013.
