Les terres du canton se situent sur les contreforts nord des Alpes suisses (Alpes uranaises). Le point culminant du canton de Lucerne se situe au Brienzer Rothorn \u00e0 2\u00a0350 m. L&#8217;agriculture est la source de revenus la plus importante, mais l&#8217;industrie est \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e. Les produits agricoles les plus importants sont les cultures, les fruits et l&#8217;\u00e9levage. L&#8217;industrie se concentre sur les textiles, les machines, le papier, le bois, le tabac et les produits m\u00e9tallurgiques.<\/p>\n<p>Le tourisme est d&#8217;une grande importance. Le canton de Lucerne est une porte d&#8217;entr\u00e9e vers les stations baln\u00e9aires des Alpes voisines, et une grande partie du trafic de transit entre l&#8217;Allemagne et l&#8217;Italie traverse la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En 2021, le canton de Lucerne comptait 80 communes, r\u00e9parties sur 6 arrondissements \u00e9lectoraux qui remplacent les 5 anciens quartiers.<\/p>\n<p>Le canton s&#8217;\u00e9tend \u00e9galement sur le lac de Baldegg et les lacs de Hallwil, de Sempach, de Zoug et des Quatre-Cantons, sans que ces cinq zones ne fassent
