Une seconde ligne (Chemin de fer du Mayombe) fut d\u00e9mantel\u00e9e dans les ann\u00e9es 1980.<\/p>\n<p>La province ne dispose que de deux biefs fluviaux navigables, celui de Matadi\u2013Banana long de 150 km et celui de Pioka\u2013Isangila long d&#8217;environ 140 km. Trois ports sont \u00e0 comptabiliser dans l&#8217;actif du Kongo central : le port de Matadi (longueur 1 610 m avec 10 quais; superficie : 71 000 m\u00b2 et capacit\u00e9 d\u2019accueil : 10 navires), le port de Boma (longueur : 450 m avec 4 quais et capacit\u00e9 d\u2019accueil : 4 navires) et le d\u00e9barcad\u00e8re de Banana (longueur : 75 m et capacit\u00e9 d\u2019accueil : 1 navire)<\/p>\n<p>Le transport ferroviaire est g\u00e9r\u00e9 par l&#8217;Office national des Transports (ONATRA).
