Il est situ\u00e9 dans le nord-est du pays. Avec le canton d&#8217;Appenzell Rhodes-Ext\u00e9rieures, elle forme une enclave dans le canton de Saint-Gall. Avec 172,52 km\u00b2, Appenzell Rhodes-Int\u00e9rieures est le deuxi\u00e8me plus petit canton de Suisse ; seul le canton de B\u00e2le-Ville est plus petit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c9conomie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9levage bovin et l&#8217;\u00e9levage laitier sont les principales activit\u00e9s agricoles : le fromage d&#8217;Appenzeller est largement disponible dans toute la Suisse. Un peu avant le d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000, la campagne idyllique d&#8217;Appenzell Rhodes-Int\u00e9rieures est apparemment devenue populaire aupr\u00e8s des nudistes, et lors de la Landsgemeinde 2009, les habitants du canton ont vot\u00e9 pour interdire la randonn\u00e9e nue. Les contrevenants seraient condamn\u00e9s \u00e0 une amende.
