Les diff\u00e9rents b\u00e2timents constituaient les bureaux, jardins et r\u00e9sidences de la cour imp\u00e9riale chinoise. La cit\u00e9 peut \u00eatre divis\u00e9e en deux parties : le sud, la cour ext\u00e9rieure, \u00e9tait destin\u00e9 aux c\u00e9r\u00e9monies et fonctions officielles publiques : le nord, la cour int\u00e9rieure, \u00e9tait r\u00e9serv\u00e9e aux habitations de l&#8217;empereur et de sa cour.<\/p>\n<p>De nos jours, une fois r\u00e9nov\u00e9, le palais est devenu un mus\u00e9e qui conserve les tr\u00e9sors imp\u00e9riaux de la civilisation chinoise ancienne.
