Carte de la m\u00e9tropole Nice C\u00f4te d’Azur, une structure intercommunale fran\u00e7aise, situ\u00e9e dans le d\u00e9partement des Alpes-Maritimes et la r\u00e9gion Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d’Azur, autour de la ville de Nice. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise en place le 31 d\u00e9cembre 2011 et r\u00e9sulte de la fusion de la communaut\u00e9 urbaine Nice C\u00f4te d’Azur (NCA) avec trois communaut\u00e9s de communes des Alpes-Maritimes. Elle regroupe 51 communes et 550 498 habitants, sur un territoire de 1 479,73 km\u00b2. Les communes concern\u00e9es partagent un certain nombre de comp\u00e9tences.<\/p>\n

Il s’agit de la premi\u00e8re m\u00e9tropole fond\u00e9e en France. Son si\u00e8ge est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Nice. Mais il ne s’agit pas d’une v\u00e9ritable zone urbaine, puisque 80 % environ de son territoire est constitu\u00e9 de zones rurales ou montagnardes naturelles (for\u00eats, alpages, haute montagne\u2026).<\/p>\n

La m\u00e9tropole est compos\u00e9e des 51 communes suivantes :<\/p>\n
