Les plus grandes r\u00e9gions m\u00e9tropolitaines d’\u00c9gypte sont (au 1er janvier 2008)\u00a0:<\/p>\n

  2. Alexandrie : 4 496 050 habitants<\/li>\n
  3. Suez : 633 514 habitants<\/li>\n
  4. al- Mansourah : 611 247 habitants<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Cela signifie qu’un tiers de la population du pays vit dans ces quatre r\u00e9gions m\u00e9tropolitaines.<\/p>\n

    Le tableau plus bas r\u00e9pertorie les villes \u00e9gyptiennes de plus de 100 000 habitants au premier juillet 2017 (selon une estimation bas\u00e9e sur le recensement de 2006). Le gouvernorat auquel appartient la ville est \u00e9galement r\u00e9pertori\u00e9. Ces chiffres repr\u00e9sentent la population urbaine de la ville proprement dite, sans banlieue politiquement ind\u00e9pendante.<\/p>\n
