La Tha\u00eflande divise ses municipalit\u00e9s (thesaban) en trois cat\u00e9gories par taille : les cit\u00e9s-municipalit\u00e9s (thesaban nakhon), les villes-municipalit\u00e9s (thesaban mueang) et les cantons (ou municipalit\u00e9s de sous-district) (thesaban tambon). Il y a 32 villes dans la categorie cit\u00e9s-municipalit\u00e9s (thesaban nakhon) en janvier 2015.<\/p>\n

Bangkok est de loin la plus grande agglom\u00e9ration avec une population de 15,931,300 habitants (en 2017). Cela signifie que pr\u00e8s de 23 pour cent de la population du pays vit dans la r\u00e9gion de la capitale.<\/p>\n
