Des changements sociaux dramatiques ont conduit \u00e0 une urbanisation rapide et \u00e0 l’\u00e9mergence de m\u00e9galopoles. Entre 1990 et 2003, le Pakistan a maintenu son avance historique en tant que deuxi\u00e8me nation la plus urbanis\u00e9e d’Asie du Sud, les citadins repr\u00e9sentant 36\u00a0% de sa population. De plus, 50 % des Pakistanais r\u00e9sident d\u00e9sormais dans des villes de 5 000 habitants ou plus.<\/p>\n

Les deux plus grandes agglom\u00e9rations du Pakistan sont Karachi avec une population de 14,916,456 habitants et Lahore avec une population de 11,126,285 habitants (en 2017). Cela signifie que 13 pour cent des r\u00e9sidents du pays sont concentr\u00e9s dans les deux zones urbaines<\/p>\n
