Cherbourg-en-Cotentin est un port important (p\u00eache, plaisance, trafic transmanche, commerce, militaire, construction navale). L&#8217;industrie nucl\u00e9aire a pris une importance consid\u00e9rable. L&#8217;\u00e9conomie manchoise repose enfin sur le tourisme, essentiellement baln\u00e9aire et saisonnier.<\/p>\n<p>Le tourisme dans la Manche est le troisi\u00e8me secteur d&#8217;activit\u00e9 du d\u00e9partement (chiffre d&#8217;affaires de 500 millions d&#8217;Euros en 2006) apr\u00e8s l&#8217;agroalimentaire et le b\u00e2timent.<\/p>\n<p>La Manche accueille de nombreux touristes sur ses plages et dans ses paysages multiples et contrast\u00e9s (landes, marais, bois, falaises escarp\u00e9es, plaines, campagne).
