Les arrondissements sont des circonscriptions administratives de la r\u00e9gion Normandie, \u00e0 savoir un espace g\u00e9ographique r\u00e9sultant d’un d\u00e9coupage du territoire r\u00e9gional \u00e0 des fins de gestion administrative. Apparus en l’an VIII (1800), ils constituent une subdivision interm\u00e9diaire entre les d\u00e9partements et les cantons, et sont rapidement assimil\u00e9s \u00e0 la sous-pr\u00e9fecture. D\u00e9pourvues de personnalit\u00e9 morale, ils servent de cadre \u00e0 l’action de l’Etat sur ce territoire et sont devenus, depuis la r\u00e9duction cantonale de 2015, des circonscriptions supracommunales.<\/p>\n

Un arrondissement porte g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement le nom de son chef-lieu (la sous-pr\u00e9fecture, sauf s’il s’agit de la pr\u00e9fecture du d\u00e9partement) et est administr\u00e9 par un sous-pr\u00e9fet (sauf l’arrondissement dont le chef-lieu est \u00e9galement celui du d\u00e9partement, qui est administr\u00e9 par le secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de pr\u00e9fecture).<\/p>\n

Le tableau ci-dessous r\u00e9pertorie les arrondissements de Normandie, class\u00e9s par ordre alphab\u00e9tique. Le nombre de communes tient compte de la cr\u00e9ation de nouvelles communes au 1er janvier 2022.<\/p>\n
