La plus grande ville d’Arabie saoudite est Riyad avec 5 188 286 habitants (recensement de 2010). Cela signifie qu’environ 13,5% de la population du pays vit dans la capitale, et que plus de 80% des Saoudiens vivent dans dix grands centres urbains suivants : Riyad, Djeddah, La Mecque, M\u00e9dine, Al-Hufuf, Ta\u00ebf, Buraydah, Khobar, Yanbu, Dhahran et Dammam.<\/p>\n

La Mecque et M\u00e9dine sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme haram (quartier saint) et sont donc compl\u00e8tement ferm\u00e9es aux non-musulmans.<\/p>\n
