Dust over Japan
This stunning image shows dust blowing off of mainland China over the Sea of Japan, the islands of Japan itself, and on out into the Pacific Ocean. Many of Japans mountains are still covered in snow, though spring has begun to show itself in the lower elevations. This MODIS true-color image was acquired April 2, 2002.
