Vegetation of Brazil
The flora of Brazil is one of the most varied in the world. In all regions there are plants of commercial value. In the Amazon rainforest include seringueira or rubber tree, chestnut Brazil or coquito, mahogany, guarana, rosewood and other species. The babassu is found in the transition zone towards the sertón, where carnauba, Schinopsis brasiliensis, aroeira, the cactus Pilosocereus polygonus, the umbú and others stand out. In the Atlantic forest stand out the Brazilian jacaranda, the cedar and Aspidosperma spruceanum. In the south of the country there are Paraná pine, the imbula, Tabebuia chrysotricha and yerba mate.
