The province of Mendoza has three distinct geographical structures: the high Andean mountains to the west, the plains to the east, and the plateaux, sierras and volcanoes to the south. The Andean Cordillera conditions almost all the geography of the province, whose territory is almost completely located at more than 1000 meters of altitude.
