This map is a copy of the one formed by order and at the expense of
this Capital City by the roads, canals and port engineers D. Juan Merlo, D. Fernando Gutierrez and D. Juan de Ribera from 1841 to 1846. at a
scale of 1:1.1250.
Published by D. Francisco Coello and D. Pascual Madoz
to whom the municipal Corporation ceded it generously for this purpose.
Those who have published it have done several
major additions, besides marking the city with all the reforms that have occurred to date 1849.
