Zhejiang is one of the twenty-two provinces that, together with the five autonomous regions, four municipalities and two special administrative regions, make up the People's Republic of China. Its capital is Hangzhou. Other important cities and ports are Ningbo and Wenzhou. It limits to the north with Jiangsu and Shanghai, to the east with the sea of the Oriental China, to the south with Fujian and to the southwest with Jiangxi. Its population in 2010 was 54 426 897 inhabitants.
