Guandong is one of the twenty-two provinces that, together with the five autonomous regions, four municipalities and two special administrative regions, make up the People's Republic of China. Its capital is the homonymous Canton; Other important cities are Shantou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Maoming. It limits to the east with Hunan and Jiangxi, to the north with Fujian, to the south with the sea of the South China and to the west with Guangxi.
